The days of 99 cent gas seem to be a thing of the past. So gone are the days when we can jump out of bed in the morning and think that we are not a target in the scope of the enemy. This is not to say that we were not always a target, it is just that these days are ones where the strategic “shots across the bow” of our lives have become more and more evident. It is a time to inspect, spit shine and suit up in the armor of God. Our natural tendency would be to find a foxhole, even an uncomfortable one, and hide out. All the while hoping that this whole thing will pass over and when we emerge, life will be as it was. This however, is a time to stand and trust in the Lord.

Do not allow discouragement to overrun you in these days. This is not a time to pull back; it is a time to engage. Engage relationships, engage God, and engage your faith. I believe we are going to begin to see some of the greatest supernatural demonstrations in this season. By preparing ourselves and setting our expectations that we will see the goodness of the Lord in the Land of the living, things will change.

You are not alone in this fight. You are part of a company, an army. Establishing strong relationships with one another and with God is essential to your success. A threefold cord is not easily broken. You, God, and your brother or sister are an unbeatable team. God brings the supernatural component that ensures the victory – we just stand and war together knowing that our obedience will bring ultimate success. This is a war we will win together.
